SENIORS RIDE FREE!
JAC (Jump Around Carson) is Carson City, Nevada’s public transit system. Through a grant from the Nevada Aging and Disability Services Division, JAC offers unlimited free rides on the regular bus system for seniors who participate in the Senior Citizen Bus Pass program.
HOW TO GET A SENIOR BUS PASS
If you were unable to attend the renewal events, you can obtain a new bus pass anytime at the Reception desk, Monday thru Friday, 9-2pm.
Seniors (60+) can participate in this program by registering with JAC at the Senior Center Reception Desk between 9:00 am and 2:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Applicants must show a photo ID that indicates they are at least 60 years of age. If the photo ID does not have a Carson City address, applicants must have proof of Carson City residency through another ID, a lease, or a phone or utility bill.
The bus pass is valid for an entire year (July 1 to June 30), as long as grant funding is available. There is a bus stop next to the Senior Center that serves Routes 1 and 2B.
