The Nevada Department of Welfare and Social Services is providing one-on-one assistance at the Senior Center for the following programs:
- Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), formerly known as "Food Stamps", for nutrition assistance to low-income individuals
- Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) for temporary cash assistance for needy families and relative caregivers caring for dependent children
- Medicaid for medical assistance for low-income individuals receiving public assistance
They also have information for low-income individuals on:
- Energy Assistance Program
- Child Care Assistance
- Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Assistance
When: Fridays, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM for walk-in appointments.
Where: Outreach Office (west end of the Senior Center)
