Carson City area seniors age 60 and over were invited to an ice cream social and root beer float party on Monday, hosted by the Pay it Forward Project, who want to “Take care of seniors when it is hot.”
The treats were served on Monday, July 29 from 12 to 1 p.m. in the dining room of the Carson City Senior Center, 911 Beverly Drive.
The Pay it Forward Project is dedicated to improving our communities by encouraging everyone to volunteer a minimum of two hours per month to build stronger communities, they encourage community improvements as well as service to others by volunteers. They partner with local service clubs, nonprofits as well as local schools to provide funding to support community volunteer projects.
